Race Day Information

We’re excited to have you running with us this year. It looks like we may have some great weather once again. I have some race day information that is very important.

Cut-Off Times -  Please keep in mind the course cut-off time is 3:00PM . Any runners still on the course at that time will be transported back the the Start/Finish Line by a race official.

Carry it in, Carry it out! - The Capon Valley 50k is a Leave No Trace Event! Please no litter on the trails. If you carry it in, carry it out. This event is held on private property and we need to respect the use of these wonderful trails. Please don’t make us have to pick up any TP suprises or energy packets between the aid stations. There will be trash cans at each aid station for your trash.

Aid Station Drop Boxes - Each aid station will have a drop box ( Aid 1&6) (Aid 2&5) (Aid 3) (Aid 4). We will have these boxes set up the morning of the run at the Ruritan Building for you to put your drop bags in. IMPORTANT – If you would like to have your drop bag brought back to the Ruritan before the aid station closes, you must put the bag in the RETURN BOX at the aid station. We will try to expedite the return of your items to the finish area.

Crew Support - No crew support people are permitted to drive to the aid stations or on the trail. If you have crew support that would like to meet you at an aid station, they must get a ride with a run staff member. Please make arrangements with run management the morning of the run if you need a ride to an aid station. IMPORTANT – IF UNAUTHORIZED VEHICLES ARE FOUND DRIVING TO AID STATIONS OR ON TRAIL THE RUNNER WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

Furry Friends - All Dogs MUST be on a leash at all times.
